Incorporating the Baccalaureate in Arts into our Art School is the result of our commitment to a creative and comprehensive education for all our students. The Baccalaureate is part of post-compulsory secondary education and consists of two academic years. The Arts modality has two different paths, Plastic Arts, Design and Image, and Performing Arts, Music and Dance.

Who it is aimed at

The Baccalaureate in Arts is Spain’s official qualification aimed at young people with artistic interests who have passed the Obligatory Secondary Education stage. It is the perfect option for students who stand out for their manual, artistic or creative abilities, are interested in painting, sculpture and skills with close links to all the plastic arts and the conservation and care of our cultural heritage.

Objectives

The objectives of this Baccalaureate are framed within the objectives established in the LOMCE in Royal Decree 1105/2004 of 26 December, which establishes the basic curriculum for Compulsory Secondary Education and the Baccalaureate. In addition, the main aim of our Educational Project will be to train artists capable of bringing wisdom and responding creatively to problems that arise when developing and progressing in their future forms of artistic expression. The aim is to develop artistic sensitivity and aesthetic criteria as sources of training and cultural enrichment, understanding and critically evaluating the realities of the contemporary world.

Careers

One of the paths of this Baccalaureate is preparation for university admission, and it gives students the option of continuing their higher education in Audiovisual Communication, Educational Sciences, Fashion Design, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets, Fine Arts or Advertising.

It also offers admission to art studies such as the Advanced Vocational Training Courses that we offer in our school or admission, following specific tests, to the Advanced School of Dramatic Arts, Music Conservatory, and Dance Conservatory.
